One theme i wished they had touched more on in the film is the idea of analyzing the way people precieve Patrick.Įven to the point where someone may or may not be aware of his "personal" life but choses to ignore it or move on because the facade he has crafted is so impressive to the people around him. I always felt that of all the film adaptations of Bret's work this one was the one that most successful at adapting the themes of the novel into film form.
